Father's Day

It was a pretty long, but relaxing morning since Ryan woke up most of the house before 7am! We all went to church with Jeff's parents at 11am and so here's the boys in their Sunday best, getting some playing in before we left for church!

Our niece, Kylie. I curled her hair for her before church and she looked so cute (and older!) and really liked it so I had to take a picture of her. I think she's the family's future volleyball player... at least I hope so! She just might be as tall as me at the rate she's growing!!
After church we came back to the house and bbq'd some steaks that Melinda brought over that had been marinating for 2 days... yum! After lunch and dessert (homemade strawberry shortcake- again, yum!) we gave Jeff's dad his Father's Day gift/his Mom's birthday present as it was just a couple days before. We made them these stepping stones and they turned out really neat! We all did different ones from each family of grandkids. This one was from Kylie & Kera and was neat because those glass stars glow in the dark!
This is the one from Ryan and baby. Ryan put his footprint on it and we put a little blue baby rattle to represent their grandchild who is on the way and wrote "Grand kids leave footprints on your heart." They really loved them and the kids were so proud of their creations for them!
We headed home not long after so we didn't get home too late. After 2 days of no naps and going to bed late and waking up way too early, Ryan fell asleep about 3 minutes after we left their house AND slept until we were almost home so over 3 hours! It was such a peaceful ride home for Jeff and I and Ryan got a much needed nap in. Leaving the sunshine over there and getting ot come home to sunshine was also a big plus! We even got home in time to head out to my parents house for dinner to celebrate Father's Day with my dad and family. Ryan was one lucky kiddo getting to spend time with BOTH sets of grand parents in one and on both sides of the mountains! :) It was a great weekend all around!
