On Tuesday Jacob had his 6 month check up and it went great... well, minus the shots, of course. :( He's 21lbs. 1oz and almost 28inches long! (no wonder my back is always so sore!) He's pretty much at the top of the charts- along with his head! It's a Boon thing, no other way to explain it! :)
He's very much teething right now- drooling like crazy and if you put anything near his mouth he grabs it and shoves it in right on his gums. Poor guy. For teething I do have to say he's quite the trooper, at least so far! Ryan was a great teether, too. Hardly knew he was teething except for the constant drooling and gumming on things. I hope they pop through soon for him!
He's been taking good naps, a 3 hour one, in fact, for me today which was great! He's a very happy, healthy, thriving little guy and we're so thankful for that!
As for me, I've started working a day a week again and really am enjoying it. I have to say, though, as much as I enjoy going to "work" for a day, I'm always reminded of how fortunate I am to be able to stay home with my boys and watch them grow and change right before my eyes. It's really such a blessing.

The song.

Ahhh, brothers!
Now Jacob is thinking "okay- enough is enough!". :)
A family picture!
This was taken the day before Easter, but I just love it of my mom and Jacob- so precious!
Ah! There's that smile I love so much!!!
I think they turned out quite beautiful! We were proud of them and I was happy to with how well Ryan did not making a huge mess in the process... my little man is growing up!!!
This past Saturday we were invited to some other friends' Easter egg hunt/party, as was my niece, Shelby, so she came along with us since her mom & dad were working. Kim did let me barrow her camera so I could snap some pictures at the hunt since mine was still missing at this point. Here's Ryan with her Easter egg basket on his head... being a bit of a goofball. And Shelby giving him "bunny ears"... how appropriate for this time of year! ;)
Here's Ryan next to the big Easter bunny that they had at the hunt/party... giving a good cheesy grin!
And they're OFF to find the eggs!!!!!
After the hunt, the kids had all kinds of fun activities and games to do. Ryan & Shelby both opted to frost some Easter cookies... with ALOT of frosting! Surprise, surprise! :)
Does it look like maybe this boy got into some red frosting???? Hmmm- I can't imagine why he had a tummy ache later that night. I guess sometimes you just have to learn the hard way!
Ryan or Shelby apparently took this picture as I didn't even know it was taken until I went back through the pictures from the day later that night. Sweet, happy Mr. Jacob got to enjoy the festivities in between cat-naps, too!!! :)
