Not a baby anymore... :(

I finally decided it was time to get rid of Ryan's infant carseat. When we bought it before he was born, it came as a set with a stroller, but after taking on vacation with us twice on airplanes, it was never the same. So I've just held onto the carseat for sentimental reasons, I guess, or thinking someone I know might need a carseat, but finally came to the conclusion I needed to get rid of it so off to Bargains Galore it went. I ran upstairs to grab a couple more things to drop off there and found Jacob sitting in the seat like this.
Not looking like much of a baby anymore.
He was having a grand 'ol time in there- blankies and all!
Hello!
He was having so much in it that he didn't really want to get out, but I managed to get him out- a little tricky, though! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends... we defintley did and feel very blessed! Christmas morning we woke up and opened our presents here at our house and then got ready for the day and headed over to Grandma & Papa's Lee's house with the rest of the Lee clan to have a yummy little breakfast and open gifts. I video taped our little Christmas gift opening here at our house so don't have any actual pictures, but here's some from my parents house.

Yes, this is the 'little' boy whose diapers I used to change and now I have to sit on him (which I was barely able to do) to get this picture with him. :) Can hardly believe Austin will be 14yrs. old in just a couple short months!

Jackpot buddy! He loved his gift from Austin!

Cuties... cousins... buddies. :)
Me & my Shelby. (and her sassy new hair!)
Cute or what?!!!
Anna helping Ryan check out his gift!
Jacob had to check it out, too!

It's a bit blurry, but I just love this smile on Jacob's face!

Whew hew... LEGOS! Hasn't stopped playing with them since! Thanks Grandma & Papa!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and here's to a wonderful New Year!

2011 here we come!

Christmas Eve festivities!

Jeff's sister, Carol, and family came up yesterday from Gig Harbor to spend Christmas here as well as Jeff's parents. Tonight we had a nice, relaxing Christmas Eve which included pizza for dinner, going to our church's Christmas Eve service then coming back home to make some Christmas cookies with the kiddos! Lots of fun and creativity being had here!
Love this shot of Carissa catching Jacob taking one of her candies out of the corner of her eye and Jacob's face that says "Nope, wasn't me, nothing to see here!". Love it!
Letting their creative juices flow... as well as the candies and sprinkles that were not lacking on these cookies!
Oh yes, and lots of finger lickin' going on here. Tried to have them wash their hands when I'd catch them- let's just say it's a good thing we're all related! :)
Auntie Carol got in on the decorating, too!
One of the two cookies sheets worth of delicious, beautiful cookies!
Merry Christmas Eve!!!

MVCS Choir/Hockey game

Tonight the choir that our niece, Kylie's, in at school sang the 'National Anthem' at the Silvertips hockey game at the Everett Arena! Jeff's brother, Greg, was nice enough to let us know about it and invite us to get tickets and come to the game to see her sing. It was sort of a bummer that there wasn't any spotlight on the part of the stands where Kylie was standing and singing, but we could still see her. They all did a great job!
We thought this would be a fun opportunity to not only get to support Kylie and the MVCS choir, but also take the kids to a hockey game and make it a family night! Ryan had never been and was very excited! We got my cousin Kari to babysit Jacob as there was no way he'd be able to sit through a hockey game yet!
Cuties!
Taking it all in!
It wouldn't be a hockey game if there wasn't a fight so here it is! The boys thought it was sooo exciting to watch them fighting!
While I left to get us some more popcorn, I guess a nice man gave Caleb, Jordan and Ryan each a Silvertip player bobblehead! Needless to say they were thrilled! What a perfect little token of the first hockey game they went to!
Kylie came over to sit with the family for a bit- here's her and Grandpa Boon sharing some popcorn!
My sweet sister-in-law, Beth, even snuck a shot of me which goes to prove I was really there, too! haha! Thanks Beth- not the best shot, but I'll take it! :)

Unfortunately the Silvertips lost, but oh well- we all still had alot of fun!

Gingerbread houses!

This morning I had the fun honor of joining Ryan and his class and other parents in making gingerbread houses! It was very fun and ended up being a pretty darn nice house if we do say so ourselves! I am curious how much royal icing we went through as Mrs. Veldkamp just kept whipping up batch after batch for all of us! My favorite part was when Ryan put some frosting on a rectangular piece of lego shaped candy and stuck it on the ground behind 'the house' and when I asked what it was he said "A generator!". Of course! Silly me, every home should come with a generator! Too funny- love the imagination.
Here's our finshed product. :)

Ryan lost his 1st tooth!

Tonight Ryan lost his 1st tooth!
Exciting stuff! We were over at Uncle Yogi & Auntie Kim's house to celebrate Uncle Yogi's birthday when the big event happened! It had been loose for a good couple weeks, but Ryan didn't want us messing with it too much once it got really loose. He would barely even let my mom try to pull it out and she's really good at it! Before dinner we'd all taken turns wiggling it around and it was super loose so I walked up behind him and gently tried to pull it down and he was not happy with me so I told him I'd leave it be. It had started to bleed since it was barely hanging on so I gave him a napkin to hold on his tooth/gum. I told him as we sat down at the table with everyone to eat, he could try pulling it out himself with that napkin wrapped around it and left it at that. About 5 minutes into dinner Ryan let out a very excited 'I got it! It came out!' as he held his tooth for us to see! Talk about a round of applause from the whole room! A very exciting moment for out little man and he got to share it with lots of his family! Papa and Uncle Yogi even gave him some cash for pulling out his 1st tooth all by himself! I warned him right away the tooth fairy wouldn't be able to match that! :)
Later when we came home, he got ready for bed and put his tooth under his pillow and low and behold, the tooth fairy showed up and even sprinkled a little 'fairy dust' by his pillow!:)

MVCS Christmas program night!

Ryan's kindergarten class opened up for the MVCS Elementary Christmas program!

After the program, Jeff 's parent invited us all back to the rec. room for ice cream sundaes!
Here's the Boon gang minus Cade & Carissa.

Happy Anniversary to us!

Tonight Jeff & I celebrated 9yrs. of marriage by going out to LaConner Seafood & Prime Rib for lovely dinner on the water! Thanks to my parents for offering to watch the boys for us so we could enjoy a very peaceful dinner together.
Here's to many, many more years!!!!

Cake balls... and an anniversary!

Melinda, Beth and I made over 700 of these little cake ball treats today for the MVCS annual Cookie Walk this Saturday. We had quite the lovely array of flavors, too! Beth did a batch with a lemon curd cake, I believe a coconut one, too, and Melinda did some vanilla cake ones with vanilla frosting and I did a few batches of a festive red velvet with cream cheese frosting! It literally took us almost the whole morning and afternoon, but we got them done and they were a hit at the school. Even the boys' principal and secretary snuck a few when Beth brought some of them in this afternoon and they just loved them! Success!

I especially love this red & green combo for Christmas time- very fun & festive!

Mmmm coffee.....

Starbucks, you've got nothin' on me... well, except for the millions and millions of dollars people spend on your coffees. :)
This homemade carmel macchiato was divine!

Mr. Toofless

Tonight we were over at Kim & Greg's house with the family celebrating Greg's birthday when Ryan finally lost his 1st tooth! It had been loose for awhile, but he didn't want anyone to pull on it- not even Grandma Lee! After trying to help him pull it out before dinner, which he didn't appreciate one bit to put it mildly, I gave him a napkin because it was bleeding a little bit. I told him if he just used the napkin and kept moving it back and forth it would come and and all the sudden while we were all eating his pulled it out himself! He was sooo excited and got a big round of applause from all of us. A very exciting moment for him! And how fun that we can remember he lost his 1st tooth on Uncle Yogi's birthday!

Ahh yes, Christmas time!

Tucker enjoying a little quiet time on his blanket in the house. Such a good boy.
Sat up long enough to give his pal, Ryan, some loves.

One of my favorite parts of Christmas time is how the Christmas tree lights up our house at night. Just love it.
This is the product me getting the wrong lights (meant to get clear), so instead of wasting the time of returning them, we put them up in the living room and now it looks oh so festive in here!
Dining room/tree/garland during the day. Lovely.
Hope you all are enjoying this Christmas season, too!
