Ryan's after Christmas program! :)

Last night Ryan's pre-school was finally able to perform their Christmas program that had gotten cancelled the first time due to snow and then the second time due to a power outage! It was still adorable! The last few days of rehearsing in school, he was not one bit interested in being the donkey he was assigned to be and, in fact, told his teacher it was "ridiculous".... yes my now 4 year told his teacher he didn't want to dress up in a donkey costume because it was ridiculous. It was all she could do to keep it together, she said, when he said it. Needless to say, I let him know he did need to dress up like a donkey because that was his part in the performance and it was part of school. With some coaxing, he wore it and then thought it was great once he had it on and all of his other little classmates were dressed up and ready to perform, too. He made quite the adorable donkey, by the way! :)
Notice his donkey head is facing forward in this picture...
...and by the end of the performance it was backwards- my mom, dad, sister and sister-in-law and I were totally, quietly, laughing about it. At some point when they did a little part where they were jumping around, it sort of got crooked and then when he went to fix it, he sort of got this confused look on his face and then ended up turning it backwards, not knowing that's what he was doing. Sort of had to be there, I guess, but it was pretty funny!
Ryan sang great and had a big smile on his face the whole time. Unfortunately, Jeff wasn't able to be there as she was stuck on the other side of the mountains since Tuesday! Thank goodness he finally made it home safely tonight!!! I got the whole thing on video tape so Ryan and him can watch it together tomorrow night!
