Boon family get together/anniversary picnic

Since Cade & Carissa showed in the Silvana Fair, they (and cass & carol!) stayed out in the rec. room over the weekend. One morning Cade & Carissa were in the house here playing with the boys and when I went to bring their breakfast to the table, this is what I saw when I came around the corner. Soooo sweet!
That Sunday evening we all went over to the LaConner Thousand Trails to have a picnic on the water to celebrate with Jeff's parents their 40th wedding anniversary! We offered to help, but Jeff's parents insisted in taking care of it all and it was yummy! Fried chicken, salad, chips, juice, etc. Couldn't beat the scenery either! So beautiful over there!
Here's Ryan, Jordan & Kera playing on the shuffle board.
Uncle Greg & Uncle Steve on a team together playing horseshoes against Jeff & Grandpa Boon.
Grandma Boon talking with Caleb while Grandpa Boon watches the horseshoes game. Notice he's down to just one crutch! He was able to get his cast off, didn't need the walking boot anymore and was able to just take it easy while using a crutch!
The boys playing horseshoes!
Jacob, the little shuffleboard player! :)
Us gals (and some kids off and on) played a couple games of Botchie Ball (sp?).
Grandma down on the shuffleboard with some of the grandkids.
Jacob on the beach, checking everything out!
Auntie Melinda showing Jacob a baby crab in her hand... he watched, but when she offered to give it to him he wanted NOTHING of it and then wasn't interested at all! He is his mother's son and I'm not a fan of little critters crawling on me either! Can't blame the child!
Auntie Beth was bouncing Jacob up and down on her lap, giving him a 'horsy ride' and he LOVED it and laughed and laughed!
I think I'll sit right..... here.

Back to the horsy ride! Happy boy!
Now he's just plain mauling her! Every one was entertained!

All the Boon grandkids!

Together again on the beach!

Us sister-in-laws with Jeff's mom. Ryan took this picture... not bad!

Grandma & Jacob walking on the beach.
Jeff's sibilings & parents.
The whole gang!
Happy 40th anniversary!!!

Ryan's 1st swimming lessons!

On July 26th Ryan started his first class of swimming lessons at a gal's house (Pam Kutcher) along with Shelby, who has taken lessons there in the past. They get to go Monday & Tuesday's from 1-2pm. She's got a great outdoor pool! Ryan was excited and definitely a little nervous about the whole idea. Took him a few minutes to get in- he sat on the side of the pool for a little bit and watched the other couple kids and then started to work his way in. Jacob and I didn't get to stay the whole time as Jacob really wanted in the pool, but Auntie Kim and her sis-in-law, Julie were there so they stayed and watched him and Shelb. Ever since he's had such a great time and keeps asking when he gets to go back to swimming lessons! It's fun to see the progress he makes every week!
Fully in the water! He loved that it was only 3 1/2 ft. deep in the shallow end so he could touch the bottom with no problem!
The next day after swimming Shelby came home with us and we made Italian Sodas... mmm so yummy! Her and Ryan just love them!

Silvana Fair July 31, 2010

Our family went to support all 6 of the 7 nieces and nephews we have on the Boon side at the Silvana Fair! The younger ones/ones who have never showed before went first.... here's Carissa, Cade & Megan lined up.
Carissa watching the judge... Megan smiling ear to ear for everyone. :)
Megan coming towards me telling me "I got 1st place!" She didn't but who was going to argue with her?!! So cute. She did a great job with Annabelle!
Whew hew, Cade got 1st place in fitting & showing!!! Way to go Cade! Not bad for a rookie! :)
Here he is holding his ribbons AND trophy!

Carissa and her calf- she did a great job, too!
Kera and her calf, did a great job as well! A proud, smiling Grandma Boon looking on from behind! :)

Jacob was oh so entertained by all the kids around him! In this picture Carissa (who is fixing her hair from Jacob pulling it out!), Jordan & Austin Sherdian are thoroughly entertaining him!

Caleb & Hayden lined up with their calves.

Jeff was holding Kylie's calf for her for a few minutes before she showed so Ryan got a chance to practice leading her a little. I just told him to make sure he didn't get his toes stepped on as he was wearing flip flops! That would have hurt! He can't WAIT to show next year!!!

Silvana Fair

Here comes TROUBLE if I've ever seen it.... cute trouble, though! :)
Cute cousins keeping each other entertained while older cousins/sibilings show their calves.

Caleb trying to set his calves feet just right.
There futures are so bright, they've got to wear shades! :) Cuties patooties, Jacob & Anna.

Ryan was excited to run into his buddy, Everett, from preschool!

Cade watching and listening to the judge.
A bunch of the Boon gang across the way looking on.
Anna getting on for her 1st pony ride... she didn't want much of it and was starting to cry and get off here, but then she walked around a couple times with Darcy next to her and she was fine!

Big girl riding all by herself!!!
Sweet Jacob in his sunglasses. He was such a good sport to stay in his stroller for so long that day!

Farmer Ryan

One afternoon after Ryan was done helping Jeff around the farm he was outside playing while I relaxed on our swing for a few minutes. He just struck me so cute in his overalls and all dirty from working.
On his way back to his little bike toy in the cow barn with his handful of pretzels to snack on. A few minutes later I went in there to check on him and he was kicked back on his bike toy with his eyes closed. It was SO stinkin' cute. I went to grab my camera, but he'd moved when I got back. Still have the visual in my head and it was adorable.
Cutest little farmer you ever did see!

Boon Family Reunion 7/18/2010

After a yummy potluck lunch, we all headed outside, some to go over and start warming up to play some softball and some of us took the kiddos to the playground. Ryan went with Jeff to play softball and Jacob got to swing! I actually got to sit down for a few minutes while Kylie pushed Jacob for me!
Then Cade came over and took over for Kylie... Jacob loved his cousins pushing him and was smiling the whole time!
Heading to the softball game on a warm Sunday afternoon!
Ryan up to bat!
Waiting for the picture from cousin, Keith Boon!
Ryan loved getting to play with his dad, uncles & cousins in their annual softball game. They all did great and had alot of fun! As we were leaving, we happened to turn around to see Great Grandma Boon up to bat and heard the crack of her hitting the ball! Way to go Grandma!!!

Ryan's equipment pics

I had to chuckle when I went to download some of my recent pictures onto the computer and found a ton that Ryan had taken of some of his equipment.
Here's 'The Big Dog' as Ry likes to call it. :)
I think Jordan must have been over when he took these as I believe that's whose hands these are in the picture!
Apparently he moved out to the rec,. room to take these.... his International, JD wagon & tractor.
More JD stuff and others!
Claas from the side. Oh man, this just cracks me up. Glad he takes such pride in his toys, though!

Lil' bit of Jacob & some painting!

I found Jacob sitting at the dining room table, nicely playing with some of his little tractors. This is one of his favorite things to do these days. (7/10/10)
Cuteness!
This may be a "okay mom, enough with the pictures" look he's giving me. Either way, it's cute. :)
One afternoon I swapped my mom Shelby for Jacob so I could take her and Ryan to the "Accidental Artist" (my cousin, Denise's new pottery painting studio) to finish one of their projects and make another one. He's slightly obsessed with my mom's PT Cruiser convertable and was sooo excited to finally go for his first ride in it! Sunblock, shades and his hat... he was set!

Taking it all in!
The "Accidental Artist" wall of pottery!
And more pottery!
Ryan & Shelby showing off their work! Ryan finished his John Deere tractor piggy bank and Shelby picked up her peace sign (of course!) piggy bank, then made a mug for Grandma and Ryan made a salad size plate for him to use! It all turned out great!
