Winthrop Memorial Day Weekend!

Mommy & Jacob sharing a butter pecan ice cream cone!
Madelyn, Ryan & Craig checking out the put-put golf course while enjoying their ice cream cones!

With full tummies, it's time to head back to the pick up/trailer and head home!
Ahhhh- the perfect way to travel!
We had 2 very tired boys on our hand after a very fun weekend of camping! :)

Ryan's LAST day of preschool & his final program!

I had to get a quick snap shot of Ryan in the car as we left for his LAST day of preschool! Still can't even believe it.
Of course, had to get a picture of little brother, too! :)
Later that evening, Ryan's preschool had their last program of the year, their Spring Program. It was sooo cute! They sang many of their favorite songs from throughout the year in the beginning and then some new songs, as well.
The teachers gave us a chance for a quick photo op before the actual program began... here's the whole group of cuties!
Afte the program, we all came downstairs to the basement for milk, cake and to watch the DVD that was put together with music of the kids throughout the school year. Yes, it was definitely a tear jerker. :( Can't believe my baby is going into kidnergarten next year! He definitely had a great preschool experience at Fir-Conway Lutheran Preschool and Jeff and I are so thankful for that!

Some more t-ball fun!

The Green Machine's finally got to make up their 1st game with LaConner in LaConner and it was actually SUNNY out for it!
Ryan starting to swing!
And he connected!
Run Ryan, run!!!! :)

Random pics.

Sometimes I find some interesting pictures on my camera after Ryan's gotten ahold of it.... like this picture of his JD tractor for example. :)
Jacob in his 'cool dude' new sunglasses. He LOVES to walk around the house wearing them!
Such a little dude in these!

Mother's Day 2010

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day thanks to all 3 of my 'boys'! :)
Jeff was off that Sunday so my day started with perfection- getting to sleep in! When I came downstairs the whole house was all picked up- which is far from the way it usually looks when I sleep in and Daddy is in charge! :) We left a little early for church so we could swing into Starbucks and get me a coffee and treat! Ryan opted to escort me in and buy me a coffee, delicious raspberry swirl coffee cake AND a gift card! So lovely! Had a nice in the nursery at church then headed home for a little R&R before heading out to my parents house for a Mother's Day bbq with the whole family. Here are some of the grandkids- Anna, Jacob, Shelby & Ryan. Austin ended up eating outside with some of 'the guys'. :)
Some of the group getting ready to feast! Soooo good!
My little monkeys on Mother's Day... looking stinkin' cute! (If I do say so myself!) :) Jacob actually looks like he's sort of posing like a monkey, in fact!
Goofy boys.
Ahh, a little snuggle with big bro. :)
It was a great day and, to boot, it was SUNNY! I'm one blessed mama!

Blueberry Milkshakes!

One afternoon (5/7/10) Ryan and I decided to make blueberry milkshakes with some of the last blueberries we froze from last summer. They were de-lish!!!! One for me, one for Ryan!

Sweet brothers!

The other morning (5/6/10) Jacob woke up first and so I picked him up and we came downstairs and cuddled in my chair for about 15 mins. before Ryan woke up and came downstairs, too. Ryan likes to climb up in my lap when Jacob is sitting with me, too, so he did. It was so precious. We just sat there, rocked and watched the morning news together for about 10mins. (which felt alot longer as it doesn't happen very often that they both sit still in my lap for long!). Jacob reached towards Ryan's arm to touch it then stretched out his neck to reach Ryan's face to give him a kiss on the cheek. I MELTED!!! It was soooo stinkin' sweet! Ryan just loved it, too, as Jacob isn't much for smooches or hugs unless he initiates them. Jacob did it about 3 times and Ryan (and I!) were loving every minute of it! They sure do love eachother. :)
Thankfully my camera was sitting next to me so I could capture the cuteness of this particular morning.
I LOVE MY BOYS!!!! :)

Jacob's 1st tractor ride!

Jacob was SO excited to get to hop in the tractor with his Daddy! It was cute to see him just taking it all in- he grabbed right onto the steering wheel. He'll be driving it himself before I know it.
And there they go...
...riding off into the sunset! :) He's got the tractor bug for sure! The green blood runs through his veins, too! Guess it's in the genes. :)

Farm stuff

Jacob heading out to break in his new farm boots! He really hasn't walked out around the farm like this yet as last spring/summer he was still too young so he was ready to explore!!!
The boys cruisin' through the barn... one on wheels, one on foot. :)
Jacob says "Hi cows!!!" So cute!

Daddy and his boys heading out to the tractor for Jacob's 1st tractor ride!

Ryan's field trip to Thompson's Nursery

Last Wednesday Ryan's pre-school class got to go on a field trip to Thompson's Nursery near Sedro Woolley. This is Ryan's classmate, Tanner's, grandma talking to all the kids about how flowers/plants grow before they walked around the nursery.
After we all walked around the nursery, the kids came back to a table and got to plant flowers in the pots that they decorated for us mom's for Mother's Day! They got to put dirt in them, then put the flower in, and then add some more dirt to the top and water them. They loved getting their hands dirty! :)
This is Ryan, Logan, Jordan & Everett admiring their job well done. :)
Good job, kiddos!
For their snack time, they got to eat DIRT!!!! When the kids heard they were eating 'dirt' they all made the funniest faces like "What?" It was really funny to see. The 'dirt' was actually a cup of vanilla pudding with chocolate cookie crumbs and gummy worms sticking out. Very fun for the kids!
YUMMMM!
