Ryan & Papa

Last night after Ryan and I dropped off dinners for all of the guys, we went out and had dinner with my Mom & Dad since Jeff and the guys were working late chopping corn. This is how Ryan and my Dad looked when they were winding down at the end of the night.
Cozy on the couch with Papa.... how precious!

An Evening with the Ladies...

Last week was my nieces birthday so my sister and I went over to my Mom's house to make her a special "Barbie" birthday cake. Ryan, of course, came along to help also! Here he is helping Auntie D.D. in the kitchen, whipping up some frosting!
He looked like a little chef with powdered sugar all over his face and shirt- it was quite cute!
And the best part of all was that he got to lick the spoon! Lucky boy!
After probably hitting a sugar low, this is how we found him in my parents living room.... does he looks cozy or what!? Nothing like making yourself at home.... although, it is Grandma & Papa's house so that's easy to do. :)

Before & After!

Try to never mind the cute kiddo in the picture... see all the corn out in the field behind him...
Then Ryan & Daddy in the chopper came through...
Now look- we can see our neighbors again! And we have ALOT of corn silage in the bunkers that we are very thankful for. The guys are almost done chopping and we can all see the light at the end of the tunnel! We're thankful that so far this corn season *knock on wood* has been uneventful as far as any major break-downs (minus the truck that almost tried to catch on fire!) and has been very fruitful.

Too Quiet...

The other night my niece and nephew came over for a couple hours and we made some "fall" cupcakes and since we had some batter left over, we put it in this little baking dish to make a little mini cake. Well this morning we had a Directv guy here installing our new DVR/Tivo (whatever it's called!). After he got it installed he was showing me how to use it in the livingroom- around this time Ryan let me know he was going to pull a chair over to the counter to get his sippy cup. All of the sudden I realized it was pretty quiet in there and I didn't hear him get back down so I went into check on him and found one hand in his mouth and the other in the cake!! This being the result! After he got in trouble I had to take a picture to remember this somewhat comical occasion. When I had come around the corner he said "Mmm, yummy!". Just goes to prove, again, when you have a toddler and it's unusually quiet, they are more than likely up to something! ;)

By the way, there were already two pieces gone, but he still did some damage!

Birthday Time!

Tonight we had a birthday dinner/party for Jeff and my sister-in-law, Kim. Their birthday's are this next week, but being that this time of the year gets pretty busy for us all, we like to celebrate their birthday's together. After dinner my mom got out the ice cream cake so it could soften up a little and, of course, Ryan and Shelby were very intrigued by it!
Ahhh, Shelby is so good with her cousin Ryan!
My mom's hand is covering it in this picture, but we left Ryan alone by the cake for a minute (silly us!) and his finger managed to make it into some of the orange frosty and into his his mouth.... little stinker.
Ryan and Shelby thought that Grandma's new polka dot candles were so cool that Kim and Jeff let Ryan and Shelby blow them out for them and they were sooo excited to get to do that!

"Farmer Pants"

I got Ryan these overalls and the first time I put them on him, I told him he looked like a little farmer so now he calls them his "farmer pants". I just love them!
I told him I was going to tickle him if he didn't hold still... hence the cute little smile he was giving me! :)
Happy boy!

Special Breakfast...

For no particular reason yesterday while Ryan and I were grabbing a few groceries, Ryan and I decided that we (mostly he!) would have a special breakfast this morning... definitely not the most healthy, but that's what makes it different from the usual! He was sooo excited to wake up this morning and have doughnuts and chocolate milk (not in a sippy cup!). It was very cute.
" De-licious!" he said.
Yummy milk!
And sweet smooches from Mommy! (Like he needed anything else "sweet" at this point!) :)

Daddy's Helper

This was Jeff's weekend on for the farm, but he was able to make it in the house this morning plenty early before we needed to go to church so he decided to put our new TV stand together. Ryan LOVES to help fix or put absolutely anything together so he was all over helping his Daddy... it was really very cute! Here they are putting in the screws.
Then Ryan apparently decided they weren't working fast enough and offered the directions to Jeff to read. This is Jeff saying "Ryan, we don't need any silly directions!" :)
I guess Ryan decided to take matters into his own hands and took the directions back, sat on the floor with them and began to "read" them out loud. It was hilarious! The best part was that they did get it put together before we even left for church and it looks great! Kudos to Daddy & Ryan!!

A favorite position...

...down on the floor with his tractors. :) Ryan spent yesterday at his Grandma & Papa's while I was at work and had such a fun day with them and his cousin, Shelby. He apparently decided while he was there that there was too much playing to be done to take a nap so he was totally out in the car about 2 minutes from their house. Later after dinner and his bath, I found him on the floor, quietly playing with his tractor. I missed the shot, but before this he was totally laying on his arm, flat on the floor... never too tired to tired to play with his John Deere tractors. :)
He noticed I took his picture and thought he better look up and see what was going on.
Then decided it was fun to smile for the camera and wanted me to take lots of pictures of him!
Such a little ham.

Birthday Party!

Today we went to a birthday party for my friend, Tracey's, little boy Jaymin. It was for his 1st birthday! Anyhow, we went to the store the other day to get him a gift and thought we should also swing by the John Deere store and see what they might have for him there. Ryan picked out a Johnny Tractor book and this hat for him so we got it. Turns out Jaymin's Grandpa has one just like it so they match! Cute, huh?! It was a fun party and Ryan had a great time running around, playing with all the toys and kiddos, petting the horses outside... thanks for inviting us to your party Jaymin! :)
