MVCS Auction
On Saturday, May 1 we went to the MV Christan School Auction Dinner! It was alot of fun and they had some great auction items! I was thrilled with all the fun things we came home with, including 3 amazingly delicous carmel apples from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They were hardly your usual carmel apple- they had lots of yummy toppings on them. For example this one was a layer of carmel, then white chocolate, Oreo cookie crums and even a couple gummy worms. Jeff and I bid on them as we knew Ryan would be so excited about them... and he was!

Messy boy!
I left Jacob in his high chair by himself with a frozen go-gurt for about 3 minutes... came back to check on him and he'd rubbed the go-gurt all over his face and hair. He's recently started getting food on his hands and then rubbing them in his hair... really is kind of annoying since that then requires a bath before doing anything/going anywhere. Oh well, just another stage!
Ahhh, look at that sweet, innocent face as to say "What Mommy? I could never do anything wrong!". :) Stinker.

Ryan's 1st T-ball Game!!!
Ryan's team finally got to have their first t-ball game (4/27/10) after being cancelled 3 times for different reasons. They were all sooo excited! We played the LaConner team in LaConner and they did great! Jeff, unfortunately, had to miss it as he was out of town for a couple days, but I texted him a few times to show him pictures of them playing which was fun for him to see while he was away.
Here's Uncle Steve (aka Coach Steve) looking intense behind Ryan & Jordan. :)

More April stuff...
My mom and I took the boys and my niece Shelby to the MV Street Fair this year. It was fun to walk around and eat some yummy treats which included, for Shelby & Ryan, white chocolate covered strawberries with sprinkles on them! Very fun, but awefully spendy if you ask me- like $5 for 5 strawberries on a stick! I told the kids that we could make those ourselves... so later that week we did! Here's our creations and boy were they GOOD!!!
Greg, Jeff & bro-in-law, Cass (the engineer!) working on the final details to get it all ready to go for the kiddos to use... and boy were they anxiously awaiting!
Uncle Steve was sending the younger kiddos on 'parts runs' to the shop for them. Everyone got to help!
Thankful for all the guys' hard work who helped! Later that evening we had a bbq with Jeff's brother & his family and his sister and her family who were visiting from out of town!
A good, productive day!

Spring stuff...
Being spring time, Jacob was due for a pair of sunglasses! He was playing with his buddy, Asher's, one day when his mom and I were walking so I figured I'd get him his own pair... and he loves them!
Peak-a-boo!

T-ball practice & baseball cookies!
Ryan's t-ball practices were originally Monday's at 4pm for the first two weeks and then we were able to get them changed to Wednesday at 5pm. I had missed the first 2 (but Jeff was there as he, Steve & Matt Nelson are all coaching) b/c it was raining and Jacob was still napping. Finally Jacob and I were able to go to their practice and it was even sunny out!
Here's Ryan after hitting the ball and heading to 1st base!

Snack day & AWANAS ceremony
Last month (4/13/10) on Ryan's snack day we decided we'd make rice crispy treats that looked like real carrots! They were super easy to make and his classmates thought they were really cool! To balance out the sweet, we also packed along real carrots and milk to go along. :)

Tulip Town 2010!
Last month (4/12/10) I decided it would be a nice day to go check out the tulips with the boys... on a week day, in the morning with NO crowds and few tourists! It was sort of on a whim, but we also invited my mom and Aunt Nila who was in town visiting for a couple weeks with Uncle Joe. We had such a nice time and Ryan got his way and we went on a 'Tulip Trolley' around the tulip field, pulled by a tractor, of course! It really was a nice way to see all the different colors and varieties w/out trying to walk through them all with the stroller.
Here's me and my boys! :)
