Sooo pathetic! :)

After Ryan & Jeff got home from t-ball practice, they went out to play a little catch and Jacob thought he should go out with them, but it was definitely too cold for him to be out there and he's still getting over a cold. He cried and cried until he realized he could climb his way up to the window seal and watch them up close, then he thought it was pretty cool. They only played outside for about 10 mins. then came in to play with Jacob while I finished making dinner. Such a good big brother & daddy. :) As soon as the weather gets a little warmer he'll get to go out and play, too!

Our little t-ball player!

Here's our Ryan, getting ready to head to his very 1st t-ball practice Monday afternoon! He was SO excited about having to buy a mit, baseball pants and baseball shoes! He's been sitting on his mit to get it broke in and thinks it's so funny, especially when he sits on it in the car for some reason. He had a great time and is thrilled that his Daddy & Uncle Steve are both his coaches! Jeff & Steve had a good time at practice, too, and are looking forward to the season!
Btw, when did he become old enough to be playing t-ball??? I haven't figured that part out yet, but looking forward to the season, too!

Easter egg coloring 2010!

At sort of last minute, my niece Shelby came over for the afternoon, which worked out well as Ryan and I were planning to do our egg coloring today!
Ryan & Shelby getting ready to start!
Mommy & Ryan
Concentrating hard on their work!

Another Mommy & Ryan :)
Doing a little color swapping!
Some of their colorful creations!
A few more creations!
Oh yes... Ryan HAD to have a John Deere egg! :)
The kids each picked one of their favorites that they made- Ryan's on the left, Shelby's on the right.
Definitely a fun time all around! Ryan is heading over to E. WA on Wednesday to stay with his Grandma & Grandpa Boon till Friday or Saturday so figured we better get on the Easter egg coloring today! Fun that Miss Shelby got to join us, too!

Holy fudgesicle!

Last weekend we had some friends and their kiddos over for dinner. After dinner I told the kids they could have a fudgesicle for dessert! Well, Jacob saw them all with one and decided he needed one, too. Ryan was about this age when he had his first fudgesicle, too, but his was b/c he'd fallen down and got a fat lip and I thought the cold would help. Anyhow, Ryan definitely didn't get half as messy with his as Jacob did! He just had a ball with it and was so intrigued with the whole new cold, chocolaty, creamy treat! He would take a little lick then rub a little of it on his face and then take his hands and rub it ALL over his face... hair, etc.!
Look how insanely blue his eyes look against that brown face (and eyebrows!)! ha ha!
He would do just like this, putting a little under his nose like he was smelling it and then rub it everywhere... such a little goon!
Such fun and cheap entertainment! My friend helped me tag team the situation when he was done- she wiped the tray down while I wiped his face & hands down... then STRAIGHT to the bath tub! It took alot of restraint for me to let him do this as I'm a bit of a clean freak, but he was just having too much fun and it was so funny to watch him! Like I said, cheap entertainment for all of us!

One of my little helpers...

One afternoon I'd done some St. Patrick's Day baking (shamrocks) while Jacob napped so when he got up he was so excited to come see what I'd done!

I think he was patiently waiting for me to give him one!
"Fine, I'll get one myself with the spatula." He was so entertained just sitting there- it was pretty cute.

A 'Workin' Ryan' :)

Ryan sure loves to go out and help his Daddy on the farm, but he even enjoys just hanging out in the shop with him when he's working on something. Jeff's started calling him his little 'grease monkey' for good reason! He says he takes after him- if he looks at dirt, he gets dirty. :) On this day Ryan was pretty proud with how dirty he got out in the shop with his dad. The camo colors don't due justice to the dirt on him and his jeans were filthy!
This was grease/oil of some sort and not sure how he managed to get it all his back... the most important thing in that with some Spray 'n Wash it all came out! I was very pleased since this isn't a 'work' vest!
"Look Mommy! My hands are sooo dirty!" After this picture he promptly put all these clothes in the laundry basket and took a shower immediately.
Jeff and I went away for a few days to Seattle for a conference for Darigold (where we ship our milk) with other young dairy farmers. It was alot of fun and such a nice little break away. Some of us had to round up some door prizes to bring and so this was one that Jeff got from Farmer's Equipment. He had to keep it covered in his pick up with coats and such so that Ryan wouldn't see it, but somehow on the day we were leaving, Ryan caught a peak at it and was in complete awe. As we walked out the door to leave for the conference Ryan said "I love you and Mommy please win that tractor for me!" No pressure or anything. Well, everything worked out and I was able to win this tractor for him... and if that isn't love- I gave up a chance at a door prize from Starbucks.... that says alot! :)
I didn't tell Ryan I had won it till we got home and he was ecstatic! When we got home he saw my camera on the counter and had to take a picture of his new piece of equipment and this is it! Such a funny kid.

The Boon Boys

My sister-in-law, Melinda, came across these shirts at Target and thought all 3 boys needed one! They couldn't wait to wear them that they wore them the very next night at my birthday party.
Ryan, Caleb & Jordan

Some sweet Jacob :)

Jacob LOVES to ride on the horse at my parents house... just like Ryan always did/does! It's a guaranteed to put a huge smile on his face.... like this one!
He looks like a little jockey to me in this one.... doubt with our genes he'll ever be one!
What kind of a face is this?! Such a goofball!

These days he'll spend quite a bit of time, contently sitting at the table playing with trucks/tractors. It's so cute to catch him climbing up into the chair just so he can play with his trucks at the table like his big brother does!
Happy kiddo!

Mama's 29th birthday!

Well on February 26th I turned 29! It was a great birthday... the night before my birthday Jeff, the boys and I met our friends/cousin Billie & Trevor for a early birthday dinner at Red Robin. Yes, I had to wear the coffee filter birthday hat and be sung to, but it was worth it for that yummy birthday sundae! On my actual birthday, Jeff and Ryan had to make a trip over in our semi truck to get a load of hay in E. WA so it was just Jacob and I most of the day. We met my mom, sister, sister-in-law Melinda, family friend and niece Anna for a delicious birthday lunch at the Skagit Garden's. After lunch my mom offered to take Jacob home with her to nap so I could go into town and treat myself to a relaxing pedicure! It was soooo lovely! The spa was conveniently located across from Starbucks so it was a perfect afternoon.... a scrumptious Carmel Macchiato and a delightful pedicure... AT ONCE! It was dreamy! :) The next night we had the whole Lee/Boon gang over for a birthday dinner/party. I am so blessed to have so many family & friends in my life!

February!

While I made a loaf of banana bread, Ryan was whipping up his own 'recipe' while having a little snack of sliced apples. He had a great time using all sorts of utensils! I love having his help in the kitchen! My sweet, sweet sleeping baby boy. :)

Time for Valentine's! I helped Ryan make 16 'custom' tractor Valentine's for Valentine's Day party with his class. I cut out the tractor shapes and he pretty much did the rest with my help here and there. It was fun to do, but man were my hands sore after cutting out that many tractors!

The finished product: he signed is name on every single Valentine and did a good job, if I may say so!
Yummmm.... cookies! These are the cookies I made for Ryan's Valentine's Day/President's Day program and were scrumptious! Not a single one was left!

The greatest little singer I know! :) So patriotic- I love it!
Ryan and a few of his classmates: Peter, Jordan, Ryan & Allyson

One of my favorites of these two to date! So stinkin' cute!
On the 13th we got invited to celebrate Macie's 4th birthday at Jungle Playland! So much fun!!!!
Craig H. & Ryan enjoying their yummy pizza lunch and watched Macie open her presents before they all headed back out to play some more!

Jacob had a great time, too! He loved all the riding toys and discovered the toddler play area a little while before we left- he had a ball! Definitely a fun filled party!
